Francisco Palacios was born in Madrid in 1961. His interest in painting and sculpture comes under the influence of his father. In 1983 he graduated from Business Administration, and has since devoted his professional life simultaneously to the business and financial world, the world of art. During the past 20 years, self taught, has been producing paintings and sculptures. His artistic influence is marked by the painting of B. Palencia, J. Mir, C. Pissarro, D. Rivera and A. Macke. The first stage of his paintings is mainly based on customs, landscapes and still lifes, favorite theme of his work. At the present stage absorbs cubist features that are oriented at the end of the work towards an abstraction, using mostly the mixed media and collage. In the sculpture field his work focuses on the use of recycled iron to create a work figurative abstract.
